Penguins recall Ben Lovejoy and John Curry from WBS

Yesterday afternoon the Penguins announced that Brooks Orpik would be listed as day to day after suffering an injury in Saturday night's game against the Maple Leafs.  Today the parent club announced they are recalling Ben Lovejoy from WBS to join the Pens tonight in Minnesota.  I'd imagine this means we won't see Orpik out there and instead might see Lovejoy.  There is always a chance that Lovejoy will be a scratch and a guy like Martin Skoula will get the nod, but given the recent lack of ice time for Skoula, I think Lovejoy has a better chance of starting than not.

From the official release:

In eight games with Pittsburgh, Lovejoy collected three assists and a plus-5 rating. He finished with a plus or even rating in all eight games and notched his first career NHL point (an assist) Nov. 14 vs. Boston. During his stint, Lovejoy saw action on the Penguins’ power-play and penalty-killing units while averaging nearly 18 minutes per game (17:53).

Lovejoy, 25, tops all Wilkes-Barre/Scranton defensemen with four goals (tied) and ranks second in points (11), assists (7) and shots (81) despite missing 10 games while playing in Pittsburgh.

Update: Mere seconds after posting this I see that Empty Netters is also confirming that goaltender John Curry was promoted as well.

Update 2: Scratch that.  Looks like the John Curry call up has been retracted/unconfirmed.  As SLBD mentioned in the comments, there has been no official release that confirms Curry.

Update 3: Via LeftWingLock in the comment, the Penguins have officially made a statement that John Curry has been called up.
