WBS Penguins Start Home & Home with Norfolk Tonight

The WBS Penguins take on the Norfolk Admirals tonight at 7:30 p.m. EST.
The WBS Penguins take on the Norfolk Admirals tonight at 7:30 p.m. EST.

The biggest news coming out of Wilkes-Barre is that Dustin Jeffrey has been called up to Pittsburgh, so the WBS Pens will be without their star player for I would say at least this weekend.

The Penguins take on division rival Norfolk Admirals, the AHL affiliate of he Tampa Bay Lightning, tonight in Norfolk and again tomorrow night in Wilkes-Barre.  The Admirals are the 2nd place team in the division and also 2nd best in the conference behind the Pens. Their record of 15-6-4-1 with 35 points is seven points behind the Penguins and with one more game played.

The next two games could either help the Pens pull further away in the division (11 points) or bring the Admirals closer to the top dog (3 points).

John Curry has been in goal 3 of the last 4 games, so either goalie could start tonight.  Either way, I'm betting that whoever starts tonight will be off tomorrow night and probably start the team's game on Sunday in Albany.

Now that I'm officially done with the fall semester, I will be able to add more depth to the WBS Penguins News and will be doing a lot of features over the holidays!

The puck drops tonight at 7:30 p.m. and you can listen to the game here.

I will be adding updates to the game in the comment section or adding to AHL Penguins chat if anyone stops by to catch some of tonight's game.
