PENGUINS RECALL FORWARD DUSTIN JEFFREY, GOALTENDER JOHN CURRY The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Dustin Jeffrey and goaltender John Curry from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero. Jeffrey, 22, has appeared in three games with Pittsburgh this season. He recorded his first career two-point game with a goal and an assist Dec. 11 at Buffalo. Jeffrey is the fourth (tied) leading scoring in the AHL and paces WBS with 32 points on 14 goals and 18 assists in 27 games. He also boasts a plus-5 rating, four power-play goals, five shorthanded goals and 99 shots. Curry, 26, has an 11-5 record with a 2.33 goals-against average, .913 save percentage and one shutout with WBS this season.
