The predictions went wrong

Back in September/October I made my yearly pre-season predictions over four parts.  You can catch up here if you want, for your entertainment.

And here's a recap

Accomplishments: Picked six out of eight playoff teams.  Correctly called Washington #1 and NY Rangers just missing the cut.

Owe an apology to: Buffalo and Ottawa, who exceeded my expectation by eight spots.

The one I'd like back: Boston as the #2 seed

Accomplishments: Managed to pick five of the eight playoff teams.  Correctly called San Jose as #1.  Also feel a little proud about calling LA to the playoffs.

Owe an apology to: Nashville, Colorado and Phoenix, who I thought would be the worst three teams in the conference and all made the playoffs.  Yeah, whoops, my B.

The one I'd like back: I can only get one back?  Guess I gotta say Calgary as the #2 seed, being as they never got on track and finished eight spots lower than that.

It's always fun to look back and laugh at the predictions.  13 out of the 18 playoff teams isn't TOO bad, but it probably won't earn me any spots on the Ms. Cleo hotline.
