2011 John Barbero Memorial Auction

A friend of Pensburgh, and the editor of the (sadly) inactive great Pittsburgh blog Mondesi's House passed this along.  And we wanted to help by letting you know about it.

 


The John Barbero Memorial Auction will be held on Sunday, November 6 at the Mon Valley YMCA, from 1-4 PM.


Tickets are just $5 and cover pizza, refreshments, snacks, and door prize entries.  No hidden costs. Five bucks for all your food and all your door prize entries!

Drawings will take place every half hour for door prizes:

1:30 p.m. - $500 cash
2 p.m. - four Pittsburgh Pirates Lexus Club tickets
2:30 p.m. - $500 cash
3 p.m. - a Mon Valley YMCA family membership
3:30 p.m. - a 50-inch flat panel plasma TV, stand and three-year warranty
4 p.m. - $1,000 cash.

Entry for the door prizes is included in the price of your $5 ticket!

-There will be three types of auctions going on, including a Chinese auction, a silent auction, and a live auction. We'll have several hundred items available across all fields and in all price ranges.

The live auction will include four tickets to the Pittsburgh Steelers Dec. 24 game against the St. Louis Rams and $2,000 spending money; four tickets to a Pittsburgh Penguins game plus overnight accommodations; A Nemacolin Resort & Spa package, including golf for four; and a Pittsburgh Penguins game helmet signed by the entire team

-The silent memorabilia auction will feature signatures from such luminaries as Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Jack Lambert, Ben Roethlisberger, Hines Ward, Terry Bradshaw, Franco Harris, Joe Paterno, Art Rooney, and many, many more. There will be over 200 pieces of autographed memorabilia up for bidding.

-Several local mascots will be on hand, including the Pirate Parrot
