Whirlwind of Pens news, let's try to keep up:
``Eric Tangradi called up for tonight's game with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton/Pittsburgh Penguins vs. the New York Islanders. Arron Asham left last night's game early, so presumably Tangradi will take his spot in the lineup. It's unknown at this point what Asham's latest ailment is.
With Tangradi up, the Pens needed to open up a roster spot, which leads us to:
``Evgeni Malkin placed on Injured Reserve. It's more a paper move than anything, Malkin's been injured long enough that he can come off IR any time, but it does mean that he's officially out for tonight's WB/S/P vs. NYI game.
One guy who will play in tonight's game is:
``Jordan Staal cleared from any further suspension by league. Thankfully Brandon Prust has been returned to the sea and dropped back in the water, which has finally brought an end to his flopping.
UPDATE: It appears J-Staal will not be able to play tonight, as his automatic 1 game suspension for the match penalty received has NOT been overturned by the league.
DOUBLE UPDATE: In a confusing turn of events, the league met and decided to rescind the automatic one game suspension after all. You'll just have to trust me, Staal WILL play tonight.
