So far today we haven't had the big splashes from yesterday, but the Pittsburgh Penguins started off their day by selecting forward Theodor Blueger with the 52nd pick. Blueger is a product of Shattuck St. Mary's, the hockey HS up in Minnesota that has produced Sidney Crosby. (And that Zach Parise guy).

Blueger is listed on NHL.com at 6'0 and 171 pounds, but he's also not turning 18 years old until this August, so he definitely has a lot of filling out and adding strength to do before he is an NHL prospect.

Blueger, born in Hungary, is an offensive minded player who is siad to have great vision and passing ability. In 51 games with Shattuck, he had 24 goals and 64 assists this year for a total of 88 points. It's not the highest competition, but he's obviously a guy capable of putting up points and seems to be a pass first player. We'll see how he develops.
