The Penguins are expecting to host another outdoor game in the next three years. Shouldn't be too much of a shock, given the NHL's "Stadium Series" is pumping out a lot of outdoor games that generate a ton of revenue for the league. Whether you think they're still special or played out, the simple fact is as long as they are able to pack stadiums, they're going to keep happening. If it makes dollars, it makes sense. This story has been around, but it's definitely worth all the pub it can get. What can't Craig Adams do? It's not limited to getting a friend's brother out of a Venezuelan jail, with a huge assist from late father-in-law (a former governor of Massachusetts). [Tribune Review - Yohe]

Should a team ever chose to be down 3v5 for two minutes instead of 4v5 for four minutes? Interesting stuff. [SBN Hockey]

Jason Pominville sure found a good time to get out of Buffalo, it'll be interesting to see how the fans react to his homecoming tonight as a member of the Wild. [ProHockeyTalk]

The Pens don't crack a spot in the "five most surprising things" about the early season, but one thing that's surprised me is the slow starts some of the Metro division rivals have gotten off to. [Puck Daddy]

The Anaheim Ducks had a '90s throwback night and it. was. GLORIOUS. [Puck Daddy]

Nail Yakupov is having some attitude issues in Edmonton, and we may not see him tomorrow night. [SBN]
