With James Neal leaving last night's season opener in the first period, the Pittsburgh Penguins were down to 11 forwards, leaving all sorts of crazy line combinations. Like this shift with superstar center Evgeni Malkin out there with 4th liners Tanner Glass and Craig Adams.
The unconventional trio made the most of this one a great looking goal. (Well, unless you're Cory Scheneider or a Devils fan, that is).

Not that a former 40 goal scorer in Neal will be looking over his shoulder- Adams only has 50 goals in his 800 game NHL career), but hey, you take 'em any way you can get 'em.
Go Pens.
