Wednesday is the last of three games between the Atlantic and Northeast Division leaders. Pittsburgh has taken both meetings so far from Montreal, and can sweep the season series with a win over the struggling Canadiens Wednesday at CONSOL Energy Center.
Pittsburgh has won four straight games and can put a stranglehold on the East's top seed with a win over Montreal.
The Canadiens have lost two in a row, surrendering 12 goals in their last two games.
Evgeni Malkin, Sidney Crosby, James Neal and Paul Martin will miss Wednesday's contest for the Pens, though all four have participated in practices and morning skates to some degree.
Montreal will be without Michael Ryder.
Marc-Andre Fleury gets the start.
