Pens Points: New Jersey game day, Brian Dumoulin recalled

The Pittsburgh Penguins take on the New Jersey Devils tonight, but first catch up on all the news from the Pens.

Second, the Pens have called up defenseman Brian Dumoulin from the AHL. [Shelly Anderson, twitter]

We'll see if Dumoulin is used for more than depth, his presence is needed because Kris Letang has been ruled out for tonight but is said to be day-to-day. Marcel Goc looks like a game time decision and did get some skating work in yesterday, so he could play tonight. [Post-Gazette]

Tonight's opponent, the Devils, brought back veteran Scott Gomez on a one-year deal. Gomez practiced with Patrik Elias and Jaromir Jagr and may play tonight. [Fire and Ice]

The move for Gomez was needed in part because Jagr's normal center, Travis Zajac, is now on injured reserve with a lower body injury. [NJ.com]
