It's a hockey night in PIttsburgh! And a peak at the future- with veterans Christian Ehrhoff and Paul Martin going on the IR, the Penguins will play Brian Dumoulin and Derrick Pouliot makes his anticipated NHL debut tonight. Add those two youngsters to Scott Harrington and Simon Despres and the majority of the Penguins blueline will be composed of prospects who have little in the way of professional experience but much in the way of promise.
Standing in their way tonight will be the Florida Panthers, one of the surprise teams in the East so far this season with a 14-8-8 record coming into the game, including a pair of 2-1 wins this week over Philadelphia and Washington, the latter coming in a 20 round shootout.
Should be a fun test of two young, exciting teams that have been winning some games here recently. Nothing left to do but get to it. Go Pens!
