That about sums it up, the Pittsburgh Penguins play really well in the first two periods, then run out of gas in the 3rd. Just like seemingly every game this month. The effort is there, the results just aren't. Credit the New York Islanders for playing well, but just not enough for the Pens right now.
Game 82 in Buffalo tomorrow. Pens win and they're in. Or if Boston keeps sucking they'll be in too. Either way, it seems like a death match to end sooner than later.
