Christian Ehrhoff cleared for contact, ruled out day-to-day

Earlier this morning, we noted that Christian Ehrhoff had returned to the ice for practice, but had no update on whether he was progressing towards returning to being ready for Game 1 yet.

This afternoon, the Penguins did provide an update.

Coach Johnston confirms that Christian Ehrhoff has been cleared for contact and is day-to-day.

Let's hope that Ehrhoff can get another day of contact practice in tomorrow and be ready to go for Game 1 on Thursday night in New York. It would be a massive boost for an already depleted defense.
