The Pens have tied up all the loose RFA ends by signing Checz forward Dominik Uher to a 1-year, two-way contract worth $575,000 at the NHL level. Read the Pens news release here.

To refresh your memory, here are several prospect profiles on Dominik Uher:

Around the same time Dave Molinari had a nice feature on Uher, who had spent three previous winter playing junior hockey in the Pacific Northwest.

Uher played two games in the NHL this past season. He spent the rest of his time in the AHL as part of a strong line with Rowney and Kuhnhackl.

He struggled a bit through January, but had a decent home stretch and playoffs for WBS Penguins, with 4 points (2G, 2A) in 8 games. He credited his turnaround to better practices and better preparation.

Although all three members of the URK line have now been re-upped, it might be cool for the Pens to actually go and find another Dominik and put him on the same line with Uher and Simon.
