Finishing up a stretch of 7 games in 11 days, the Pittsburgh Penguins have one more to go before 3 days off. The New Jersey Devils (with old friends Ben Lovejoy and Beau Bennett) come to town for the first time this season.
At 10-6-4, the Devils currently sit in a playoff spot almost 25% into the season, a lot better than most preseason pundits had predicted. But their best skater, Taylor Hall, is out with an injury so we'll see if that slows them down at all.
NJD played last night at home, losing 5-4 in OT to Detroit. The Penguins got embarrassed by Minnesota 6-2 on the road. Let's hope the Pens show up a little better tonight.
