Keeping up with the Metropolitans 11/27/16-12/3/16

New, comments

Your weekly dose of Metropolitan action!

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Rangers remain atop the Metropolitan Division, as they have been since November 1st. The Penguins have been playing well lately, particularly on PPG ice, and are trailing the division leading Rangers by two points with one game in hand. The Philadelphia Flyers and Columbus Blue Jackets have both been on fire recently, and have shuffled the division standings up this week after the Metro positions have been the same for some time now. That shows how much of a difference a three or four game win streak can change things this early in the year.

Check out how the rest of the Metropolitan Division fared this week!

***Game of the week! The Rangers will be traveling to Chicago to take on the Blackhawks for a Friday evening showdown of the top two teams in the NHL at the time of this article. That should be one of the bigger billed early season regular season games as both teams are in huge markets and both teams will be fighting for bragging rights. This should definitely be a good one.
