Penguins take down Red Wings 5-3

Let's cut down to brass tacks, it's all about Phil Kessel scoring two goals as the Pittsburgh Penguins defeat the Detroit Red Wings.

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The Penguins fall down 2-0 but Phil Kessel boosts the team with a big goal.

The teams do battle until the 3rd period when Kessel scores again to put the Pens ahead for good.

Matt Cullen doesn't score but he scores anyways since he got taken down with an empty net.

Game. Set. Match.

It remains so cold in the D. 2009 and Max Talbot forever, you guys.

The Penguins host Ottawa on Monday night and then get a Florida roadie to Miami and Tampa on Thursday and next Saturday.
