Pittsburgh entered the playoffs, according to Bovada, the 6th highest favorite with 9/1 odds. As of April 28th (just before the 2nd round), Bovada had the Penguins and Capitals as co-favorites in the league to win the Stanley Cup at 15/4. Those odds have obviously been dramatically slashed, so the time to really bet the Pens to win the Cup is long gone, if you wanted to maximize your return.

There still are some very intriguing bets that could pay really well. Matt Murray at a generous 11/1 for the Conn Smythe??? Kris Letang an even better play at 20/1. Holy smokes! A lot of those over/unders for the Pens this series seem pretty high as well, could be some action to be had picking and choosing an under play.

And, you know, gamble responsibly and all that.
