Most breakdown days are sad. Before players depart for around the world and their summer rest and training they have to talk about what went wrong and what to hope for next season. Not so this year for the Pittsburgh Penguins who get the happy breakdown day.
Injury corner
Nick Bonino
One of the best (?) or maybe more intriguing moments is hearing what all the players had played through.
Bonino says he was on antibiotics for infection during SCF, & if his temp went over 101, he would've been shut down. Came as close as 100.5.

Nick Bonino was skating pretty much just for games towards the end, this was why, it would be tough to imagine HBK without the B.
Sidney Crosby
Crosby reports no ailments. Joked he wondered if he should be more beat up after the playoffs.

Nice to see Crosby is healthy. With the World Cup of Hockey about to start in early September, this summer is going to feel like 30 seconds for Crosby.
Ben Lovejoy
Ben Lovejoy said he played with three broken ribs this season. Was hit by JT Brown in the regular season.

Tom Kuhnhackl
--Didn't reveal what the injury was to necessitate why hes wore a walking boot for most of the playoff run.
Evgeni Malkin
Malkin unsure if he'll need surgery on his elbow. MRI pending.

Malkin came back quickly from the March elbow injury and was able to do enough to win, hopefully he's 100% again soon.

Scott Wilson
Scott Wilson said he's nearly fully healthy. He began skating again a few weeks ago. #Pens

After breaking his ankle in March, nice to see Wilson is coming along and probably will be good to go for the start of next season.
