Paul Bissonnette hasn't played in the NHL in two years. But that doesn't mean he hasn't been active; he's been playing with the Los Angeles Kings' farm team in the AHL the past two seasons. He's a free agent now, though, and that means he's ready for a new contract.
Who better to try to woo than the Stanley Cup Champions? The Pittsburgh Penguins drafted him way back when, and he already has spent several years in the organization...
Missed call from a Pennsylvania number. Looks like Pens want a repeat. I'll give it an hour to call back. Make Jim sweat a bit.

Called em back. Wasn't Jim. Telemarketer. Had a great conversation about what I could bring to the table. Always keep your options open.

That wasn't you was it @PenguinsGMJR?

After a brief detour to the Toronto Maple Leafs, Bissonnette went back to Pittsburgh, trying a different contact.

Evgeni Malkin is on the case, guys. Things have gone quiet, but he'll get this sorted out. In between getting some much needed rest, helping take care of his new baby, salting his apple juice, and planning his day with the Stanley Cup, I'm positive negotiating Biz's deal is Geno's number one priority.
(Free agency can be fun, even if your team isn't that active!)
