Remember when Bryan Rust scored twice in Game 7 against the Tampa Bay Lightning? Without him, there'd be no Stanley Cup for the Pittsburgh Penguins: he ended up being the hero in the Penguins' only do-or-die game of the entire playoffs.
Rust is a hero. And for that, he got a hero's celebration.

Everything about this makes me so happy. The Cup is tucked in. It has its own pillow. It has someone to hold it close and keep it safe. If I had the Stanley Cup, I would do exactly this, except for maybe, like, the whole day.
Rust did not sleep with the Cup all day, though. He also filled it with fries!

He looks so excited.
Okay, so Rust did actually get the Cup some sun on his day with it, too, when he and the Cup went golfing.

All in all, it looks like it was a pretty low key day for the pair - but no doubt a special one.
