It’s that time of year! The NHL season is finally just around the corner. For the Pittsburgh Penguins, it kicks off with their first preseason game on Sept. 27; their first home game, though, is on Sept. 30.
Well, you know - before the season opener on Oct. 13.
And how does one get into games? With tickets. Those are pretty important to have, so the Penguins continued their annual tradition of having the players deliver the tickets to the luckiest of season ticket holders.
And they caught them on camera! Here’s the collection of joyous videos, kicking off with Nick Bonino gifting a couple with seasons tickets, which is incredibly sweet:
Meanwhile, Ian Cole took on a new job with FedEX. He’s the nicest delivery guy anyone could ever get:
Not to mention pretty much every Penguin possible, from Bonino to Marc-Andre Fleury, to Justin Schultz, to Brian Dumoulin, to Conor Sheary, to Scott Wilson, to Steve Oleksy, to, you know, the Stanley Cup...
... to Bryan Rust, to Tom Kuhnhackl, to Kris Letang, to Chris Kunitz, to Trevor Daley, to Phil Kessel himself, all the way down to street hockey with the Stanley Cup!
It’s seriously awesome how the Penguins get pretty much the entire team involved in this - and extra awesome that they had the Cup to bring along this year, too. Here’s to as fruitful a season as last year was!
