Sidney Crosby is on the verge of helping Team Canada win the World Cup of Hockey. Already a member of the Triple Gold Club - gold medals at the Olympics and World Championships, not to mention some Stanley Cup wins - Crosby’s resume can’t really get much better.
Still, it’s a nice little addition for one of the very best - if not the best - in the game today.
Acknowledging Crosby’s talent is always a fun thing, though, in part because it leads to interviews like Renaud Lavoie joining Sportsnet 590 radio talking about just what he’s seen from Crosby behind the scenes.
Lavoie was following the Pittsburgh Penguins throughout their entire Cup run just a couple of months ago. Two and a half months is a long time to spend around a team - so while he himself says he’s definitely not a Crosby expert, he still had a lot to take in.
Give him a listen - and here’s to plenty of happy times this season!
