As history tends to repeat itself, there are some injuries going on with the Pittsburgh Penguins right now.
The #Pens have recalled d-man Frank Corrado from the @WBSPenguins. Justin Schultz has been placed on IR. Details: https://t.co/bkSHwT9RCs pic.twitter.com/l5zhUPJzGh

It’s not great at all to see Justin Schultz go on Injured Reserve, but it’s worth noting that isn't the Long-Term variety, simply the type to allow a roster spot to open.
Here’s to Frankie Corrado being freed and seeing how he can perform here at the NHL level.
Letang, Schultz, and Hunwick all absent from this morning’s practice. Kind of expected.

Also not great: Kris Letang missing practice for the second day in a row, but I don’t think there’s any need to panic yet. He seemed quite hobbled after blocking a shot the other night. Given this week’s schedule and no back-to-back (until the weekend), may as well take the available time off as it’s afforded.
Zach Trotman, who was recalled last week also appears slated to see some action.
#Pens HC Sullivan on Trotman: "We're excited to have Zach. We know he's a guy that we can trust." -SK

Given how we have seen Penguins defensemen thrive in face of adversity due to good coaching, let’s hope to see some of that success continue.
