Last night, the Penguins battled the Winnipeg Jets at PPG Paints Arena. Looking to build off of their OT win against the Oilers on Tuesday, the Pens and Jets battled in another goalie show that needed overtime. Tied at 1, all the Penguins needed was the magic touch of the legend himself, Phil Kessel. The two-time Stanley Cup Champion scored the GWG (for the second game in a row) on a breakaway for career goal # 300! [Recap]

Defenseman Justin Schultz has been placed on Injured Reserve, likely due to his concussion. As a result, the Penguins have called in a reinforcement in the form of Frankie Corrado. [Penguins]

It looks like Sidney Crosby has adjusted quite well to the new faceoff rules. [Post-Gazette]

There seems to be some frustration mounting between city officials and the Penguins due to the team taking too much time regarding a plan to begin development on the site where the Mellon Arena once stood. [Post-Gazette]
