The Pens concluded the second game of a back-to-back last night which resulted in a 4-1 loss to the Blackhawks. The Pens have lost the last two, but look to get back on track on Friday when they return home to go up against the Lightning. [Pensburgh Recap]

Of course, yesterday also brought us the NHL’s trade deadline. Questions surrounded the Penguins as the weeks led up to yesterday. Would Fleury be traded? Would they land Matt Duchene or Gabriel Landeskog? No and no. GMJR stuck to his word when saying he wanted to keep Flower and acquire more depth for the defense.

Rutherford made two last-minute deals yesterday which saw Eric Fehr and Steve Oleksy get traded to the Maple Leafs for D-man Frank Corrado as well as acquiring Mark Streit from Tampa Bay. [Pensburgh]
