The Penguins head west to start a road-trip

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The last time the Penguins and Jets met just a few weeks ago was one of the more violent and intense games of the season. Dustin Byfuglien boarded and concussed Justin Schutlz. Olli Maatta suffered a broken hand after being hit by Adam Lowry. Evgeni Malkin put a big-time hit on Blake Wheeler. Oh and the Penguins won 4-3 in overtime in the game featuring Sidney Crosby's 1000th career NHL point.

This game has a lot to live up to in order to meet that. We'll settle for a good, clean game though. With both CBJ and NYR winning last night, the pressure is on for the Pens to keep pace. Game one of the west coast road-trip will be a good time to start.
