Pens fail to sweep in 5-4 loss to desperate Blue Jackets. Loss proves the fourth is the hardest to win. Guentzel solves decade long problem for the Pens.

Looking for their first series sweep since 2009 the Penguins were caught flat footed from the very start and the Columbus Blue Jackets kept their season alive with a 5-4 victory in Game 4. Columbus raced out to a 3-0 lead and the Pens began to fight back but could never hold any momentum to get even. With the loss the Pens will get a second shot at closing out the Blue Jackets in Game 5 on Thursday night. [Pensburgh]

If you’re a fan of college hockey (if you’re not you should be) then start saving up because today the NCAA announced that Pittsburgh has been awarded the 2021 “Frozen Four” to be played April 8-10. Pittsburgh previously hosted the competition in 2013. [Penguins]
