The biggest piece of news that has come out in the last 24 hours is the announcement that Kris Letang will miss the next 4-6 months with surgery on a herniated disk. [Pensburgh]

Coach Sullivan has said that Letang's injury will not result in sweeping changes. [Trib Live]

Trevor Daley and Olli Maatta both practiced on Wednesday. Their presence will be needed with the unfortunate news surrounding Letang. [Pittsburgh Post-Gazette]

WB/S Penguins Casey DeSmith and Jake Guentzel have been named to the AHL's All-Rookie Team [Penguins] *Guentzel has not seen AHL action in three months. The fact that his stats still hold up until now is ridiculous.
