Here are your Pens Points for this Tuesday morning...
The Pens and Caps met for the 6th game of the series last night and the Penguins were looking to close out the Capitals on home ice for that 'feel-good' moment. Yeah, that didn't happen. In what was one of the worst games in recent memory, the Pens were visibly outmatched and Fleury couldn't hide the glaring weaknesses. The result was a 5-2 loss which sets up a Game 7. The 7th and final game of this heated series will be held back in Washington D.C. on Wednesday. [Recap]
The collision with the boards that Sidney Crosby was involved in during the first period raised many eyebrows, seemingly because Crosby had just returned from a recent concussion. After the game, both Sid and Sullivan had contradicting comments on the concussion evaluation. [Puck Daddy]
One of the reasons that led to the Penguins' loss was due to their collapse from Washington's up-ice pressure. [Trib Live]
The line changes Mike Sullivan implemented to create some energy heading into Monday's Game 6 left the Penguins with no difference in the end result. [Post-Gazette]
