Last night, the Penguins finished up another back-to-back set of games. Following a heartbreaking, yet humiliating loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, many Pittsburghers were hoping for better fortunes at the ice hockey rink later in the day. Well, the Penguins and their stars did not disappoint. After disposing of the Red Wings the day before, the Penguins came out and handed Henrik Lundqvist his bottle and pacifier while scoring five goals en route to a 5-2 victory. [Recap]

As of this post, Matt Murray is still away tending to a personal issue. With that being the case, the “other” young goalie, Tristan Jarry, is back in the spotlight. [Trib Live]

The recent bye week forced the Penguins to stay away from the rink at all costs. Many players took family vacations to decompress. One Penguin in particular, Patric Hornqvist, was still focused on hockey... at Disney World. [Post-Gazette]

Over the weekend, Montreal Canadiens forward, Phillip Danault, suffered an injury at the hands of a Zdeno Chara shot. After being stretchered out of the arena and placed in the hospital, Danault has been released and is now recovering. [Sporting News]
