Pens Points: Battle With the B’s Before the Bye

Here are your Pens Points for this Monday morning...

Last night, the Penguins returned home to face the Bruins. Riding some momentum from their shutout win against the Islanders on Friday, the Penguins got out to an early 3-1 lead, blew that, got down, tied it, and ended the night with a goal from an angry Russian bear. [Recap] The Penguins will now enjoy a 5-day break before resuming play on Saturday against the Red Wings.

Daniel Sprong has only been with the Penguins for a handful of games now, but after the game against the Islanders, in which we saw him score twice, Sprong is showing why he looks to be a good fit with the Pens moving forward. [Trib Live]

While Matt Murray has been struggling in recent games, Tristan Jarry has been making some noise right behind him. [Post-Gazette]

Yesterday’s win also saw many furry fans enjoy a game. [Penguins]
