Sidney Crosby and Marc-Andre Fleury are making some great commercials

A prank war is going on between two old friends

NHL: Pittsburgh Penguins at Vegas Golden Knights Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

CCM Hockey right now is pretty much all Sidney Crosby all the time - seriously just check out all the pictures on their Instagram feed. Their latest marketing campaign with Sid and Marc-Andre Fleury has been pretty darn entertaining.

Earlier this week in the first advertisement it was Crosby getting the first laugh, tearing up a shooter-tutor version of Fleury. (Sound on for this one)

Never to be outdone, if you give a “Sorry, Flower” you know Fleury is going to be coming back guns blazing for some revenge. Which he did via disguise by sneaking in and stealing all of Crosby’s sticks.

Hockey marketing campaigns can be few and far between but this is a fun one to show a bit of personality and have two old friends get to have some fun at each other’s expense. (And, of course, sell a few CCM sticks along the way).

Crosby and Fleury won’t see each other for a while in real life - the Penguins visit Las Vegas on January 19th for the final meeting of the season between the two teams. But it will be interesting to see if their prank battle escalates even further in the CCM ad campaign.
