Time for the Pittsburgh Penguins to hit the road and meet the New Jersey Devils tonight.
Dominik Simon - Sidney Crosby - Bryan Rust
Carl Hagelin - Evgeni Malkin - Patric Hornqvist
Jake Guentzel - Riley Sheahan - Phil Kessel
Garrett Wilson - Matt Cullen - Zach Aston-Reese
Jack Johnson / Kris Letang
Brian Dumoulin / Chad Ruhwedel
Olli Maatta / Jamie Oleksiak
For the third straight game it will be Casey DeSmith in net for the Pens, which makes a lot of sense being as he’s coming off a shutout win on Saturday night.
And for New Jersey, there’s more turmoil. They lost last game against Winnipeg and lost two important players too in Brian Boyle and Nico Hischier to injury. Boyle, of course, scored a hat trick last week against Pittsburgh. Hischier, the #1 overall pick in 2017 has 12 points in 15 games this year, so those will be two big losses. Replacing them will be former first round pick Pavel Zacha who was just called up from the minors and ex-Penguin Jean-Sebastien Dea who was a healthy scratch last game.
We’ll see how their lines shake out but expect last year’s MVP Taylor Hall and Kyle Palmieiri to be the main focal points of the offense.
