After a week-long stoppage celebrating the extended Thanksgiving break, the pod makes its triumphant return with the debut of Episode 8, highlighted by a beefy discussion about Pittsburgh’s current goaltending debacle.

The Athletic and InGoal Magazine’s Cat Silverman joins the show to lend her expansive expertise and insight on where the Penguins currently stand with their three netminder cycle. She offers her opinions on Matt Murray’s upsides and predicts how well he’ll fare in his return, compares and contrasts Casey DeSmith vs. Tristan Jarry, and even drops the mic on the seemingly never-ending Daniel Sprong debate. Cat also gave us the low down on where the NHL is headed in terms of bolstering scoring to cater to a newer, larger hockey audience.

We also took all of your listener questions and briefly summarized the seven games the Penguins played between now and our previous episode, highlighting the breakout performance of Tanner Pearson and Sidney Crosby exploding on offense ever since his return from injury.

Make sure to follow Cat on Twitter (@catmsilverman) for her stellar NHL coverage, especially if you want unique insights and stories on goaltending throughout the league.

Enjoy the show!
