Hållander will look to compete for Sweden at this year’s upcoming World Junior Championship tournament that will take place in Canada, split between Vancouver and Victoria, both in the province of British Columbia.
Hållander signed his entry-level deal with the Penguins in July, shortly after being drafted by the team in June.
This season for Timrå IK in the Swedish Hockey League, Hållander is off to a pretty good start, having registered 5 goals and 7 assists in 21 games for the club.
Earlier this season, he spoke about his development and how well he had started the season. His coach, Fredrik Andersson, had high praise for him at the time as well.
Hållander making the final Sweden roster would be good news for Penguins fans looking to get a glimpse at his play on the international stage.
