Not only is Sidney Crosby loved by the Penguins fanbase, but he’s popular among his peers as well.
The @NHLPA released a player poll. Crosby still gets a lot of love from his peers -- toughest player to play against, and best role model. Nick Backstrom wins the most underrated title. https://t.co/VnbRIx2fXZ

It’s interesting to see how these kind of player votes go. Below, some of the things Crosby was featured in:

This one isn’t surprising. All you would have to do is poll a few players who got into a puck battle behind the net with Crosby and you know which way they would vote.

A runaway contest here! Even better that Crosby would run away with the vote against Noted Elite Leader and Ultimate Captain Jonathan Toews

It’s not surprising to see that Crosby would fall short to Connor McDavid in this poll, mainly based on the age gap between the two players. Seeing how close of a poll it is even factoring age in speaks volumes to Sidney Crosby’s level of play at the current time.
There’s some other fun non-Crosby questions in the poll, be sure to check it out.
