Sidney Crosby humbles Flyers with highlight reel goal

He’s at it again, folks!

NHL: Stanley Cup Playoffs-Philadelphia Flyers at Pittsburgh Penguins Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Sidney Crosby is at it again, folks. He’s already scored what many are calling the goal of the 2018 Stanley Cup playoffs. OK, so the playoffs are only an hour and a half over at press time, but it’s still the Penguins captain deflecting/re-directing an incoming Brian Dumoulin point shot. For yet another baseball style hockey goal. The regularity to which he pulls highlight reel goals off like this is difficult to describe. Almost.

I mean, is he just tired of scoring conventional goals? Only the fancy ones count? As we’ve seen before these types of goals are nothing new for Sid who has scored a variety of special hand-eye coordination goals that even his highly skilled peers almost never try, let alone beat NHL goalies with.

Well this one made Game 1 a whopping 5-0 against the hapless Philadelphia Flyers. Right now, Crosby and the Pens definitely have everyone #3elieving that we could be embarking on yet another special, special spring.
