There was a scary situation last month when Penguins prospect Jordy Bellerive got injured in a fire accident in Canada. He’s out of the hospital and back to training with this update from Jon Stea, his fitness coach.

About a month ago @penguins prospect @bellerive16 was involved in a serious bonfire accident. Fortunately, all those involved survived, with one still in hospital. Jordy’s recovery is weeks ahead of schedule due to his commitment to his nutrition. His progress in the gym has been incredible. From bodyweight exercise 12 day’s post, to working back up to 80% of his normal weights. Well on his way to being ready for the ice!

Luckily it doesn’t look like this will affect Bellerive moving forward.

It’s summer, it’s the weekend, and you’re on a hockey blog. It’s going to get a bit weird for some, but if you’ve come this far, maybe you’re willing to come a little further. Last week, at a wrestling show in Philadelphia, Elias (who is quickly becoming Plum Borough’s third-best export behind Pat McAfee and my very own father) got some digs in at the crowd in a most enjoyable way. From name dropping Sidney Crosby multiple times, to making fun of Rocky, to singing a song about the Flyers 43-year Stanley Cup drought, it’s a master class in heel technique that can’t be refuted. Soak up the boo’s to go with the sunshine, and have yourself a Saturday.

PensBurgh definitely walks with Elias.
