Malkin sets legit Guinness world record

It’s crazy, it’s wild, it’s summer, it’s Evgeni Malkin doing Evgeni Malkin things in Russia.

NHL: Pittsburgh Penguins at Toronto Maple Leafs Tom Szczerbowski-USA TODAY Sports

Evgeni Malkin has set a world record by scoring a goal after I believe 120 straight passes or some such crazy feat. (Hey, Russia). He included a bunch of kids in his feat to help him to the record.

And as our commenter MoldovaSashaPens pointed out, Malkin got the Guinness World Records Certificate and everything.

Geno also gave some time to coach up the youngsters and ya gotta love any tweet that ends in a Penguin emoji.

Malkin also played a charity game earlier in the week with, from left-to-right Alex Radulov, Ilya Kovalchuk, Teemu Selanne and Dmitry Orlov.

EA Sports has started their slow tease of player ratings and it looks like they haven’t punished Matt Muray’s rocky 2017-18 season too much.

Virtual Murray is tied with a host of other goalie peers (Andrei Vasiliveskiy, Pekka Rinne, and Frederick Anderson) with the 88 overall rating.
