NHL All Star Game: Sidney Crosby wins MVP

Kris Letang and Sidney Crosby show out and lead the Metropolitan Division to the win in the All Star Game

NHL: All Star Game Stan Szeto-USA TODAY Sports

When you talk Sidney Crosby you talk a three time Stanley Cup champion, a two time Olympic gold medalist, a World Cup of Hockey champion and MVP, a multiple Conn Smythe, Hart and Art Ross winner. And now you can add the 2019 NHL All Star game MVP to the list as well.

Crosby scored four goals and four assists in the two games of the 2019 NHL ASG to lead the Metropolitan Division team to two wins and the $1 million dollar championship. It came just one day after Crosby had to bow out of the skills competition with illness.

Defenseman Kris Letang put up two goals and three assists in the two 3-on-3 All-Star games as well.

It was a sterling day for the boys from Pittsburgh.

The players who have won the Conn Smythe, Hart Trophy and NHL All Star MVP are Bobby Orr, Joe Sakic, Mario Lemieux and now Sid. Quite the list of all time greats right there and just another feather in the cap of the greatest active player right now.

The best goal was probably Kris Letang passing one over for Crosby to chip in from point blank range.

The All Star game is always fun and just a bunch of the best players just having a good time and showing off their skill.

And on this night, no one showed out more than Letang and Crosby just doing their thing and being great at hockey.

The Penguins are back at it on Monday night at home against New Jersey. The stretch run is about to begin.
