Is an Evgeni Malkin redemption tour in the works for the 2019-20 season?

Let’s hope that this goal is a sign of more to come and a sign of a redemption tour to come as well.

With much talk about the Penguins power play and how it will perform with Phil Kessel removed from it, Malkin logged an early goal in the opening game of the campaign.

It’s nice to see how everyone set up leading to this goal, with the combination of Patric Hornqvist occupying a defender in his office in front of the net, and Jake Guentzel lined up in the slot ready for a shot should it have come his way as well.

Let’s hope that this goal is a good sign.

UPDATE: The Penguins gave up 2 goals to Buffalo following this Malkin goal, so not necessarily a a good thing from the get go here, folks.
