WATCH: Sidney Crosby and Pierre-Luc Dubois drop the gloves

The Penguins captain was a little out of character and fought the young Columbus center.

With the Penguins leading the Blue Jackets 3-1 at PPG Paints Arena on Saturday night, things got a little feisty for one specific Pittsburgh player.

Usually you can expect the scrappy guys like Erik Gudbranson to be out there defending the honor of their teammates, but in this case, it was none other than the captain, Sidney Crosby.

Maybe he’s already irritated about the way the Penguins played in their opener. Maybe he just doesn't like the Blue Jackets all that much — or maybe he just wanted to try and send John Tortorella into orbit whining about the Penguins once again. Who can say?

Hopefully Crosby is no worse for wear after the fight. You always have concerns about stars dropping the gloves and injuring a hand or a facial injury, but these things happen, whether it’s Game 2, the preseason, or Game 82.

What say you? Did Crosby win the fight?
