With the Penguins looking more like a MASH unit than a hockey team these days, good news may not be too far off of the horizon in the coming future.
Mike Sullivan gave an update on a few players this morning.
Injury updates from Coach Sullivan:

1. Bjugstad - Still being evaluated, longer-term.
2. Hornqvist - Won't play tonight, but is getting closer to return.
3. Letang - Skating on his own and making progress, but not joining team practice quite yet. pic.twitter.com/gdZGRP4zQD
An update on Nick Bjugstad hadn’t been given in several days, so it’s not surprising to hear that the injury is a little bit more severe. His injury has not been disclosed. Despite Patric Hornqvist not playing tonight, this is a good development that his return to the lineup is getting closer! It sounds like Kris Letang’s progress is slower than it may have initially been expected, but slow progress is still progress. I would imagine that he won’t be too far from returning to the lineup once he gets back to practices with contact.
The Penguins and Islanders will drop the puck tonight at 7:00 at PPG Paints Arena.
