Down 3-1 against the Boston Bruins, the Penguins had momentum on their side and were looking to strike again to get within a one-goal deficit. It was Nick Bjugstad’s time.
Really nice goal by Bjugstad, but what a pass from Kris Letang there though!

What seemingly started off as a routine play in the defensive zone, the puck made its way to Kris Letang.
A heads up pass stretching right between the defense during a bad change for the Bruins helps set Bjugstad up for a breakaway.

Look at that pass!

Bjugstad did a great job of taking the pass in stride without putting himself offsides, and quite the finish as well.
There seems to be a general consensus among a faction of Penguins fans that Matt Murray is the only goaltender to give up high-glove side goals, so it’s nice to see this is true for other goaltenders as well Sad!
The angle from the corner of the rink of Letang’s pass though...

It was a nice spark to help guide the Penguins to erasing the Bruins lead, despite ultimately giving it back and losing 6-4. But the fact of the matter is the type of guts the Pens showed while down 3-0 is a good sign of what this team is made of.
