As the NHL’s regular season comes to a close tonight with a Game 7 between the Blues and Bruins to determine a Stanley Cup champion, the PensBurgh Podcast is back, as the Penguins prepare to enter an offseason of uncertainty with changes to be made.
The Athletic’s Josh Yohe recently spoke with the Penguins’ general manager, and Josh was kind enough to join the show and lend more insight into the discussion surrounding Phil Kessel.
We discuss the futures of players like:
- Olli Maatta as potential trade bait
- Justin Schultz in the last season of his contract, is he angling for free agency?
- Jack Johnson as perhaps the odd man out?
- And even head coach Mike Sullivan, given the very interesting tone and way the general manager responded to a question about his contract (which expires after the 2019-20 season).
Be sure to follow Josh on Twitter (@JoshYohe_PGH) to stay up to date with the latest Penguins news.
Enjoy the show!
