The moment is here, the Pittsburgh Penguins enter a draft night with a first round pick for only the second time since 2012! The Pens are up at 21, but scheduled to change if (gulp) any trades go down.
Let’s brave it out together and see how this one goes.
How to watch
Round 1
Date: Friday, June 21
Start time: 8:00 PM EDT / 5:00 PM PDT
Venue: Rogers Arena, Vancouver, British Columbia
TV Channel: NBCSN (USA), Sportsnet, TVA Sports (Canada)
And some Pensburgh links for your perusing while we wait:
- Forwards that could be in the mix around pick #21
- Defensemen that could be in the mix around pick #21
- Or maybe should the Pens trade down and get more picks?
- And a mock draft of the first round
This is usually a very active night and Pittsburgh either figures to add a top prospect for the first time in a while, or maybe trade the pick again for immediate help. Let’s just hope this year goes better than the year we don’t talk about (NHL Draft night 2017).
(Also, for scheduling purposes: once the Pens pick or make a trade, if you’re camping out here, be sure to go back to the Pensburgh main page as a story and details on the newcomer should be up a few moments after the selection)
