Looking at some of the best shots from Friday night’s game.

It’s no secret that I have a photographic background. Some of my favorite parts of putting together stories is picking the photo that gets used. A new segment I may try and put together periodically is here: A roundup of some of my favorite photos from games. Here are five that I thought stood out from last night’s game against the Ducks.

I love this frame because of the overhead angle. You don’t always see these, as not every photographer is equipped to be able to shoot with remote cameras overhead.

The puck frozen in motion just outside the post is what makes this image for me.

I just wanted to use a picture of Patrick Marleau because it still feels weird to me to see him in a Penguins uniform.

I am a huge fan of this shot because of the face that Carter Rowney is making while trying to get a stick in on Evgeni Malkin. The angle of the shot also shows Malkin’s imposing size.

It seems as if Patric Hornqvist is involved in one of these net-battles on a regular basis. It feels like his face is saying “Oh, come on.”

Which one of these do you like best? Let me know in the comments why you do or don’t like them!
