Two candidates immediately stood out when I started to look back at some of the goals.

These are the moments you get with a defenseman of Kris Letang’s caliber. Always take the good with the bad. The patience here is the key feature of the goal. Scooting around two Stars and flipping between backhand and forehand before sniping the five hole against Anton Khudobin. A chef’s kiss for the Pens’ best defenseman. But for me, the top spot for goal of the season goes to...

Don’t make the big Russian mad, plain and simple. In what was a heated, back-and-forth affair between the two divisional rivals, Evgeni Malkin put the squad on his back here to tie this game back up at 3 after the Penguins lost their 2-1 lead. Let’s not discredit the pass from Bryan Rust here, either. And poor John Carlson. Some say his legs are still wobbling to this day.

Mr. 101 earns my top spot for goal of the year. But what say you? Let me know down below what your favorite goal was during the 2019-20 season!
